This was a fun video that actually made people believe
that there were ghosts in the control room at this radio station. The entire
effect was done with masking. In the first video I pushed over the water bottle
with my finger and pulled the paper down as well – but you can’t see me. I
covered my ghostly actions by overlaying or masking me. Using some keyframing
and a lot of patience it worked.
The second ghostly control room video was a little more
involved but still was done entirely through masking. The messed up computer screens were masked overtop of the existing shot and timed it with some subtle sound effects. Not as many people
believed this one as I think the ‘ghostly’ actions were a little too much. The
first video was more subtle and believable.
